A group led by Robert Castellini purchased controlling interest (about 70 percent) in the Reds in November, 2005. (The purchase was based on an enterprise value of the team of about $270M.) Carl Lindner, who retains a minority ownership stake, bought the Reds in 1999 for $183M.
Forbes magazine valued the club at $342M in April 2009.
